QMS DEVELOPMENT

What defines a Quality Management System? Well, technically it's a system of documented processes and procedures focused on meeting customer requirements, but quality doesn't just happen because you have well a written QMS, it's much more than that; it's a culture.

Your QMS starts with a goal and management then develop a plan to meet that goal, but different companies and different departments within those companies view quality differently. So how is quality defined? Well, pretty simply actually:

  • Meet the Customers expectations, understand and be focused on your Customer's wants and needs. Develop solid plans to regularly and reliably satisfy them.

  • It's everyone's responsibility, but Top Management must Lead, their commitment is vital to successful implementation. It is key to workforce engagement and customer satisfaction.

  • Continuously improve, review implemented processes, and when issues arise, identify and review the causes of those issues to provide effective improvement. Then do it again.
